This is a part time role, hours & remuneration to be negotiated against expertise and experience of the applicant.

Key Role Statement


To assist the on field development and management of a junior football club. This position will

support the club’s NPL & Development football department, with the key focus on building the

capabilities of the under 13 to under 16 NPL & Development junior teams and respective coaches.


Key Responsibilities

  • ·Delivery of education nights in line with the FFA Coach Education system

  • Writing of the Technical Curriculum in line with the current FFA team model. Implementing the correct parts of the model to the correct age related phases. Breaking this down into the cycles for each relevant age group. Then putting in the correct information that needs to be delivered at the correct time.

  • Writing of player evaluations, which will provide crucial player feedback to coaches to aid them in player’s development. Also crucial feedback for parents and players so they are aware of where they are at in their development.

  • ·Monitoring player development, ensuring that they are progressing at the correct speed for their age group, flagging individuals of concern and brilliance to ensure they are developed to the best they can be.

  • ·Growth and support of coaches through the education evenings. The technical director will be responsible for relaying crucial coaching methods and delivery styles so the coaches can best deliver to their players. This will be in line with the FFA coach education system.

  • Quality Control of sessions. Monitoring of session plans to ensure that they are of the highest quality that the script is correct and will enable the players learning to its fullest potential. View sessions delivered by coaches; give feedback to improve the coach and therefore the players development. Ensuring session is delivered in the FFA style, clear pictures and clear words are being used. Also ensure that the stages of Foundation, animation and conclusion are implemented.

Selection Criteria


Essential

  • Technical Director Accreditations:

  • 2019-2020 – By the beginning of 2019 season the RCFC Technical Director will have a minimum of a current FFA ‘C’ Licence and booked on FFA B-licence accreditation course.

  • Demonstrated football knowledge

  • Strong leadership and Negotiation skills

  • Proven ability to lead the technical, professional development and operational aspects of football departments

Other Requirements


  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Current working with children certificate

  • Well organised and ability to work independently

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Diplomacy and strong conflict resolution skills
